Benches aren’t just for picnics anymore. They’re becoming increasingly popular in interior decors and not only in the case of rustic interiors. The fact is benches have a lot to offer and they can often be the better choice, especially in the kitchen.
A corner seating nook with a table, some chairs and cozy benches can be a multipurpose space in the kitchen. It’s why adding some reading materials on wall-mounted shelves in the area can be beneficial. They can be cooking books or things you like to read when there’s nothing else to do in the meantime.
Like with every other piece of furniture, there are a few things that need to be considered before purchasing a table, be it tall, small, round or however else you want it to be. For example, you should start by measuring the room as well as all the furniture that will be included in the room along with it.
If you find a good kitchen counter that is missing an overhang or open side, you can always add a larger, new top to your find. Make sure the new top is large enough to allow at least a 6” ledge on one side and that the new top is durable enough to withstand kitchen use.
